Eleven Tampa Bay organizations will benefit from over $100,000 in funding

The spirit of giving continues to flourish in the heart of Tampa Bay as the Smith & Associates Real Estate Foundation proudly announces over $100,000 in grant funding bestowed upon eleven esteemed non-profit organizations in the region. Each year, the Foundation opens its doors to submissions from Pinellas and Hillsborough County-based organizations, aligning with its core pillars of giving and demonstrating a vital need for their community-centric endeavors.

Smith’s community giving program is purposefully crafted to forge robust partnerships with non-profit entities, civic organizations, and local groups dedicated to effecting positive change. The grant recipients were selected based on their commitment to addressing critical community needs focused on three elements: Housing, Community Vibrancy, and Positive Education/Mental Well-Being. The eleven organizations receiving grants are:

  • CASA – Community Action Stops Abuse
    • Mission: Domestic violence support advocacy
    • Project: CASA Appliances Replacement
  • Isaiah 117
    • Mission: Supports the transitional needs of foster children
    • Project: Construction of Isaiah 117 House
  • Starting Right, Now
    • Mission: Serve unaccompanied homeless youth registered in Hillsborough or Pinellas public high schools
    • Project: Housing Homeless Youth
  • Friends of Joshua House Foundation, Inc.
    • Mission: Provide therapeutic support for abused, abandoned and neglected children
    • Project: Educational Services and Mental Well-Being for Children in Foster Care
  • Empower Her Network
    • Mission: Support Human Trafficking survivors by addressing societal barriers through advocacy and tactical funding that propels survivors toward economic freedom
    • Project: Housing Support for Trafficking Survivors in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties
  • R’Club Child Care, Inc.
    • Mission: Serving the needs of youth through supervised developmental programs
    • Project: The Edible Peace Patch Project
  • Arts Conservatory for Teens
    • Mission: Support and development of high-quality arts education to educate, empower, and enrich the lives of our youth
    • Project: ACT Hillsborough Program Expansion
  • Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture & the Arts, Project – Two scholarships to be awarded in 2025
    • Mission: Unite Tampa Bay businesses to champion arts and culture for a prosperous community.
  • The Kind Mouse Productions, Inc.,Project – The Kind Mouse Productions
    • Mission: Assisting families in transition and their chronically hungry children.
  • Florida Recovery Schools of Tampa Bay, Inc., Project – Establishing a Victory High School in Hillsborough
    • Mission: Serve students ages 14-19 with substance use disorder or co-occurring disorder diagnosis through education, advocacy and recovery support year-round.
  • Museum of Fine Arts Ya La’ford Installation
    • Project community project with local school children

Established through the Community Foundation Tampa Bay, the Smith & Associates Real Estate Foundation offers a seamless avenue for Smith employee and organizational participation in philanthropic endeavors. By aligning donations and sponsorships with non-profit initiatives and facilitating support for volunteer engagements and Board service, the Foundation embodies a holistic approach to connecting the real estate team members to causes that are meaningful to them.

With Smith associates contributing over 1000 hours of volunteer service annually, the Foundation’s impact extends far beyond financial assistance, fostering a culture of giving and compassion. Grants will be dispersed at the end of May, further amplifying the transformative work of these invaluable organizations in the Tampa Bay community.
