Did you know that recreational marijuana will be on the Florida ballot this November? We have a lot to consider about this issue. Watch this short film that examines how marijuana normalization has impacted Colorado.

This is an extremely good documentary that explains what happened in Colorado. The amendment that will be on the Florida ballot is very similar to what Colorado passed. The question we have to answer as voters is do we want this in Florida?

Here is an excerpt from the summary of the amendment that will appear on the Florida ballot in November, 2024:

Adult Personal Use of Marijuana

Allows adults 21 years or older to possess, purchase, or use marijuana products and marijuana accessories for non-medical personal consumption by smoking, ingestion, or otherwise; allows Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers, and other state licensed entities, to acquire, cultivate, process, manufacture, sell and distribute such products and accessories.

Watch the video, Then notice the wording of the Florida amendment. Do you want our children to grow up in a culture that normalizes this? You may think this will just legalize smoking pot recreationally—it actually legalizes the whole commercialization of pot from growing—which means buying up huge amounts of land in our state, manufacturing and distributing—which means also marketing. Do we want this in Florida?
